frustration

Gosh I am sitting here when I should be getting ready for our big trip and my big interview tomorrow. I don't know if this trip is going to be worth it because apparently our dogs are a burden and no one wants them around. Ok as puppies they have had their moments, like any puppy they have their accidents and get into things they shoudn't. The bark and cry when they don't want to be in the cage and they can be a pain when it time to walk them. But they are our children and my husband dosn't not want to leave them behind to suffer in cage at some kennel. I could have a friend watch them but Harlem is an escape artist. Who know how long they would be running around in the cage and what they would wind up eating.
im just frustrated at the fact that one week of family time has to be put on hold because of our dogs. If you want to see us we come in a pack of 5.

O sucHkS

So it's been awhile since I've written. A Lot has been going on. We moved to Phenix City, Alabama due to the fact Mr. received orders to Ft Beninng.

Between moving and getting the house settled I haven't had much time to write. It's been an interesting transition not only due to the big move across country for the third time, but also due to the fact the Mr. is in a completely new unit. So new house, new people, new unit, equal new rules.

I have been playing the stay at home wife roll since the move, which I', completely not use to. It isn't so bad when Mr. was on leave but, its about time I get back on the grind. I have a guarantee position starting after the new year, which I'm excited for but I still have a few interviews this week, so things might change.

I believe we are heading back to the good old NYC for Christmas leave.

I have mixed emotions about the visit so wish me luck

I promise ill get back on my blogging. I just hope I have something to talk about :)

I want A MArgarita

But Im settling for a glass of wine instead. Well, I gave in my notice today at work. I will no longer work for Verizon as of the 12th, of October. I thought there would be a sense of relief at the end of that sentence but my stress level has just increased. Due to the fact now I have no job. HA I hate that job but I love the outcome. I guess its so bitter sweet. We are coming to a closing here and even my hubby said that he's feeling it. And I quote " today is the last day ill ever see the guys I deployed with twice... I'm stress too". Tears came to my eyes when he said that because I am being selfish about making it seem my feelings are more important than his but in reality he's being more directly effected by the change than I am.
The good thing about today I saw my best friend Brandy for a min at work which was nice now Im sitting her blogging away. I should be getting ready to meet the hubs after hanging out with the boys and getting use out of my new shoes I scored from Victoria Secrets sale

They are definitely a great buy and comfy too PCS move doesn't kill me

DiD i HEar CLearing

O no it's getting down to the wire and today the hubs and I have gone through everything army so he can turn in what he needs to before he clears Ft. Hood. Other than that all the other appointments start tomorrow and the packing will begin shortly. I just need to make our cleaning appointment and schedule a uhaul and figure out what goes where, what is going to be chucked and so on. Now on to the fun stuff.

Thunder had their Squadron Ball this weekend and of course the day started off stressful. I went with another one of the wives to get our nails done but that wasn't our only task for the morning we need to find 2 baby shower gifts for some mutual friends of ours and accessories for the night. We ran from one part of town to the another and to every Walmart possible. But by 1230pm I was on my way home nails done, baby shower gifts at hand but hair was no where near ready. After a mini freak out and having the hubby yell at me that I was crazy I broke out the hot rollers and hair spray and was off to work on my hair. Before I knew it the boys were at the house ready to roll out to Austin and my hair was going to have to wait.

We got to Austin around 4pm and check into our hotel. Everyone ordered room service and I finished off my hair and makeup just in time. The ball was moved from the regular old hall her in town to the Hyatt Lost Pines in Bastor Tx,

The place was gorgeous but it was a heck of a long ride just to get to the actual resort.

It was a great way to say good bye to all our friends we made here before we left. We definitely had a great time.
The rest of the weekend was filled with Baby Blue and Pink and lots of laughs. Now back to cleaning hope every ones having a great week xoxox

Life in a Nut Shell

OK well I have had writers block since the begging of time it seems but I am going to try to fix I ! I swear. Right now its 4:22am on this lovely Thursday and I think I'm actually sick physically and mentally dranied . SO much as has been going on its crazy how time flies and life goes by.

Well, Mr. came home on Aug 1st, 2011. After a year of ups and downs, tears and laugh, deployment and re-deployment it was finally over. I couldn't be happier when that day came. My mother-in-law had a difficult time getting down here and I had to work but by 11:oopm he was in my arms and I wasn't letting go.

Got the house all dolled up

ME running

Finally in his arms <3

Hair all messy and makeup ruined but happy

The next few days I had off of work and we spent it actually running errands
getting him situated and back into the routine of the real world. Then before we knew it, it was back to work for the both of us. I stated working at the local mall as a cell phone rep which who would have know but it's not easy work. Due to the fact several units were returning back home August was definitely a busy month for us all.

But between the non stop working at the mall and getting use to having Mr. back home we got a new addition to the family. No, i'm not pregnant but I wouldn't object to the idea ;). Anyway while getting ready for another exciting day at work ( sarcasm inserted here) Brooklyn and Harlem we very excited at what they saw out side ( Barking and growling to be exact) There was a poodle just running around our fence with no leash or tag attached. From the looks of her I could tell she was either lost or abandoned and hungry. I brought her into the backyard where I gave her water and tried to feed her. As I was finishing up with the dog Mr. walked in from pt. Thinking I got him a new puppy he got supper excited and started to play with her. I was definitely not in the mood to take on a new responsibility of another dog, so I told him to take her to the pound on post. There he was told if she wasn't claimed or adopted the pup would be put to sleep. According to Mr. there was nothing he could do but save here. SO three days and $120 later we had a new 4 year old poodle.

Baby Girl

Since time has been flying by, we are getting closer to PCSing to good old Ft. Benning Ga. With PCSing comes packing up and moving as we all know. Well, instead of renting or living on post Mr. and I decided we take our next leap in life and buy a house. Now you are all probably thingking these people are crazy but buying is actually more sensible then renting due to the low interest rates a d cost of housing in the Georgia Alabama area. During MR.'s 10day block leave we made a spur of the moment decision to drive to Columbus and meet with our Realtor agent to look at some homes. Now when I mean spur of the moment I mean spur of the moment. We literally just took off after I got out from work Wednesday evening and returned Saturday morning. We packed clothes for two days and the dogs all up in the Xtera and took off as though Georgia was around the corner.

We arrived in Columbus around 12pm and couldn't be more excited about the out come of our little road trip. After searching through out the Phenix Alabama area in a brand new sub division we found our new home.

View of our soon to be new block

We are closing in a few weeks and cant wait to see what new adventures are ahead of us. I couldn't be more proud of us. Together we have overcome so many obstacles, grown in to two well rounded adults and grown as a couple as well. Now we are making the first step in our next chapter in our lives.

Well, that was me catching up with you gals as much as I possible could without boring you all. This weekend is the ball and I can't wait to have some time off to enjoy Mr. and our Military issued friends. I promise I will have my daily or weekly updates as much as I possibly can. 4 weeks till the big move the count down has officially begun.

Im going to leave you with a picture of my new toy :)

O bRother

SO I have been home for a little over a week and I can already feel the tension across the board. It seems as though this deployment has taken a humongous toll on everyone and we are all anxiety for it to be over. We had out last town hall meeting last night and I felt like the ugly color crayon at the bottom of the box. I was left at mall earlier in the day without a good bye and I guess the tension was still looming once the meeting started. I have always been honest and I had never sugar coating my feeling but this time I kinda just have to let everything go. Army life sucks once it comes to making friends, deployments, & PCSing. I guess me leaving to NY and coming back leads to another starting over process. Something I have always done since I was a teenager was never consider people friends, just acquaintances due to the fact friendships don't really last when you're a teenager. I guess we are all just back in high school when it comes to living here in the "Hood". So with that said I'm throwing in the towel because these people take to much energy to please.

Other than being stood up and feeling like a fool, I went shopping and bought Mr. some new trends for his first few days back. I got some shorts, tee shirts, and bottom downs and other necessary items. I have still so much to get I feel but a little at a time. Today I had to watch his god son because he was running a fever and daycare sent him home yesterday. I had a blast talking with Mr. on the Skype and had the baby on my lap. He makes him smile, which is always a plus. Other than that today was a lazy day over all. My AC froze so I stood in the bed room where there is a sealing fan most of the day. Before I knew it , it was time to go food shopping and stock up on snacks for Mr.

Now I will sit at this computer looking for a job for the rest of the night. I can not sit home another day I'm about to pull my hair out ads scream. Wish me luck :)

Finally Here !

Well, I know its been a while since I have given an update. Between finishing up in good old NYC and getting down to Ft. Hood I haven't much time to breath let alone write. My last few days in NY were bitter sweet. I trained people to take over my job, packed up everything I owned, said my last see you laters and then I was on the road to home sweet home.

If it was only that simple, my good byes were short and sweet except for the ones with my parents. I didn't cry until I pulled off because I didn't want them to cry. They let me go once now they had to do it all over again. They were a major help over this past year and I don't know how i could have made it without them. They always say you wont know how much you'll miss your mom until she isn't around anymore. Well, that statement is so true and much more. After leaving the coup again I picked up the BFFL Lisa and started on another journey to the country side.

Between the clothes, home goods, and dogs and Lisa being completely on no sleep I knew I had my hands full. But considering all odds were against me I beat the test of time and made it to our Nashville hotel reservations and completed the 1st legs of the race. We stood in the Hotel Preston which is a dog friendly resort. The were equipped with doggy treats and all which was great because we were ready to see what Nashville had to offer. Lisa and I had a bite to eat at Margaritaville and walked around the crowd musical streets but called it a night pretty early. Considering that we just drove 17 hours across country we still had a great time listening to the lively streets of Country Music's best.

The next day we were off to well in lame terms "The Great Place". We drove the rest of Tennessee, Arkansan then 1/4 of Texas and were finally HOME. This time around Mr. And decided to live on post considering we said we never will. I can honestly say I am not disappointed at all with the house they have provide. The dogs have a huge house to run in and I have a great kitchen and living room to enjoy company in. It was definitely a win win when it comes to HOME.

The weekend was filled with UHAUL trips and bumps and bruises, but Lisa and I got everything in the house without a single ounce of help. Now if you know anything about my best friend she is 4' 11" and 95 pounds of pure muscle people did not believe us when we told them we did it all . I will say it again I am completely blessed when it comes to the girl.

As a thank you and an early birthday gift we were lucky enough that our favorite band TAKING BACK SUNDAY was in Dallas.

Overall I have had a busy week of unpacking and getting the house in running order before MR. comes home. I cant wait till he gets here. I already have gotten a chance to have the 1st hugs from his best friend Elija when he arrived a few days ago. I felt so good to count his fingers and have him right in front of me. It just meant Mr. will be here soon enough.

In conclusion check out the new family toy ;)

O Catch Up

Well, over the last few days I have been recuperating from my Texas trip. It took my cousin and I almost 27 hours but we finally made it to good old Fort Hood. We had no sleep for 2 days and we were still going on sat night.

After being into Killeen Texas for about an hour I found out I couldn't get on post because well hey couldn't tell me. I had plans to see a friend for dinner which were completely ruined. So since Austin was out of the question my crimes SAm met us at Texas road house for a quick bit to eat and the play catch up and give her the boys Easter gift.
Cannon With His Easter Gift

On Our way to day care.

The following. Morning we were off to run a few earns and then off to San antonio for the duration of our stay
So we walked around San Antonio's river walk as soon as we got there. It's 4 miles if just beautiful scenery and cute shops. We ate at a Mexican place because I was dying for some Tex Mex and a fruity drink. We spent most of the afternoon looking at a street fair and enjoying the different arts they had on display. After walking around we headed to the pool where the crowed was pumping with music and drinks. All I did was laugh as the stupidity of the other guest but it was definitely needed after a long drive. That night we went back Down to the river walk and ate at Dick's Last Resort, which is a restaurant where the food is served with sarcasm. The food sucked so did the service but I guess that's what u pay for.

The next morning we were off to breakfast and tubbing down the river. Breakfast turned into lunch and rubbing became more like a hike but overall we had fun pulling each other around the water and soaking In the sun. The afternoon wAs tiring but the day wasn't over yet. We quickly went an changed and the we were off to see some o my favorite ladies. Mrs Lynn and mrs Crystal. I couldn't wait see Lynn and the kids and Crystal was a treat. We talked about everything under the sun in about a meals time. It was an awesome end to an awesome trip

Remember I couldn't get on post well after 4 hours of running around and crying I finally got my pass and was able to find out why. Was denied. Let's just say Ft Hood doesn't up date paper work. O well. The weekend was over everything was in storage and I flew back to good old NY.

I had to play catch up at work for missing 2 days then it was time to prepare for the Brooklyn bike tour Aka Tour de Brooklyn. Over 2000 people joined my cousin Cristina and I on an 18 mile tour around Brooklyn in support of new bike lanes. I actually finished the tour with in 2 and a half hours along with some newly made friends. It was definitely an accomplishment and for an awesome cause. I'm looking forward to joining in on many more tours.

DiD i HEar ReDepLoYment

Yup that's right folks its that time redeployment time. As I'm sitting here writing this right now I'm listening to a meeting going on down in Ft. Hood. I couldn't help but tear up when the Rear D announcer said it was one of the last town meeting because and I quote "They are coming home". Those have been the best words I have heard in about a good 10 months. This deployment was easier than the 1st but still definitely has taken a tool on me. There is a light at the end of this tunnel ..... Brave Rifles.

O BilLY ?!?

Happy Mother's Day to all my Mommies out there. I envy you in many ways. I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. Mine was jammed pack with oodles of fun events. Well one major and several side missions.

Friday Night we Went to the METS game. Lisa Found a sick deal on the Internet for $27 dollar tickets with a $12 food allowance. Obviously we couldn't pass it up so off we went. She picked me up from work and got there just in time for the 1st pitch. We were more concerned with food than the game at our time of arrival.

View from our Seats.
Most normal Picture I got.

After several trips to the bathroom and food stands. The METS won and we had a blast just laughing and enjoying the free food we got with our tickets.

Saturday was filled with doctors appointment s all morning. I had to get a shot for school because I can't register unless I got it. Then I was off to pic up Miss Lisa for a quick walk by the shore.

We were joined by a few feather friends

It was such a pretty day I couldn't help myself but take pictures of this great city. Overall we walked about 3 hours straight. Walking took the place of my daily work out. We were pooped by the end we had to head over to KOHLS and best buy for Zumba. Well, not for us but for our Mommies. We both bought our mother's Zumba for our game systems for mommies day. I couldn't wait to give it to her I wound up giving it to her as I walked in the door.
She loved it of course ")

Earlier in the week I just couldn't help myself and purchased some new nail polish. Rite Aid was having a serious sale so I just had a little fun.

Overall it wasn't the best weekend a girl could have but I was OK. I'm wrapping up my stay here in NY plus ill be gone one weekend in between. the anticipation is killing me softly. The stress level is rising and there are things I just wish could be done already cant. But we shall see the future holds....

Happy Mommies day <3
