O bRother

SO I have been home for a little over a week and I can already feel the tension across the board. It seems as though this deployment has taken a humongous toll on everyone and we are all anxiety for it to be over. We had out last town hall meeting last night and I felt like the ugly color crayon at the bottom of the box. I was left at mall earlier in the day without a good bye and I guess the tension was still looming once the meeting started. I have always been honest and I had never sugar coating my feeling but this time I kinda just have to let everything go. Army life sucks once it comes to making friends, deployments, & PCSing. I guess me leaving to NY and coming back leads to another starting over process. Something I have always done since I was a teenager was never consider people friends, just acquaintances due to the fact friendships don't really last when you're a teenager. I guess we are all just back in high school when it comes to living here in the "Hood". So with that said I'm throwing in the towel because these people take to much energy to please.

Other than being stood up and feeling like a fool, I went shopping and bought Mr. some new trends for his first few days back. I got some shorts, tee shirts, and bottom downs and other necessary items. I have still so much to get I feel but a little at a time. Today I had to watch his god son because he was running a fever and daycare sent him home yesterday. I had a blast talking with Mr. on the Skype and had the baby on my lap. He makes him smile, which is always a plus. Other than that today was a lazy day over all. My AC froze so I stood in the bed room where there is a sealing fan most of the day. Before I knew it , it was time to go food shopping and stock up on snacks for Mr.

Now I will sit at this computer looking for a job for the rest of the night. I can not sit home another day I'm about to pull my hair out ads scream. Wish me luck :)

Finally Here !

Well, I know its been a while since I have given an update. Between finishing up in good old NYC and getting down to Ft. Hood I haven't much time to breath let alone write. My last few days in NY were bitter sweet. I trained people to take over my job, packed up everything I owned, said my last see you laters and then I was on the road to home sweet home.

If it was only that simple, my good byes were short and sweet except for the ones with my parents. I didn't cry until I pulled off because I didn't want them to cry. They let me go once now they had to do it all over again. They were a major help over this past year and I don't know how i could have made it without them. They always say you wont know how much you'll miss your mom until she isn't around anymore. Well, that statement is so true and much more. After leaving the coup again I picked up the BFFL Lisa and started on another journey to the country side.

Between the clothes, home goods, and dogs and Lisa being completely on no sleep I knew I had my hands full. But considering all odds were against me I beat the test of time and made it to our Nashville hotel reservations and completed the 1st legs of the race. We stood in the Hotel Preston which is a dog friendly resort. The were equipped with doggy treats and all which was great because we were ready to see what Nashville had to offer. Lisa and I had a bite to eat at Margaritaville and walked around the crowd musical streets but called it a night pretty early. Considering that we just drove 17 hours across country we still had a great time listening to the lively streets of Country Music's best.

The next day we were off to well in lame terms "The Great Place". We drove the rest of Tennessee, Arkansan then 1/4 of Texas and were finally HOME. This time around Mr. And decided to live on post considering we said we never will. I can honestly say I am not disappointed at all with the house they have provide. The dogs have a huge house to run in and I have a great kitchen and living room to enjoy company in. It was definitely a win win when it comes to HOME.

The weekend was filled with UHAUL trips and bumps and bruises, but Lisa and I got everything in the house without a single ounce of help. Now if you know anything about my best friend she is 4' 11" and 95 pounds of pure muscle people did not believe us when we told them we did it all . I will say it again I am completely blessed when it comes to the girl.

As a thank you and an early birthday gift we were lucky enough that our favorite band TAKING BACK SUNDAY was in Dallas.

Overall I have had a busy week of unpacking and getting the house in running order before MR. comes home. I cant wait till he gets here. I already have gotten a chance to have the 1st hugs from his best friend Elija when he arrived a few days ago. I felt so good to count his fingers and have him right in front of me. It just meant Mr. will be here soon enough.

In conclusion check out the new family toy ;)
