FiLlin tiMe

Have you and your spouse agreed to live in separate locations (a geographical bachelor tour) knowing that the short-term inconvenience would have long-term benefits for your family? How did it work for you?
Yes, we have. When I was finishing up my B.A. In New York we were already married for about 5 months when he was livin of post down in Hood. I finale finished I the end of Aug in 2009 and moved down the September.

What is your favorite thing about being a MilSpouse?
My favorite thing about this lifestyle is meeting new people. There's alway people coming in and out of our lives I definitely have made some life long friends.

If you could still have your spouse/significant other and your family, but take the military life out of it…would you?
I don't know the military is what brougt us together our lives were way different before it but I can say this he would definitely be apart of my life.

What have your homecoming experiences been like after a year long tour of separation?
His 1st deploymen was cut short but the effects of it still took a toll on me emotionally. I can say it was the best feeling in the world when he was finally in front of me. This time it's goof to be 20 times better because I don't have to go anywhere bit hole with him.

If you have a child(ren) why you chose their name(s)? If not, why you would name your child something?
We don’t have children but definitely have some potential names already set ;)

Skinny mini

Well as always I say every monday I will start my diet and as always I fail to do so. Mr. Is coming home in about a little over 100 days and that means it's crunch time. Since the deployment began I have lost an over all 30 pounds and I still need to lose the last 15. That would put me at about 130. I desperately want to walk in the gym looking better than I did when I walk out of it last year. I started today with full force eggs for breakfast, protein for lunch, hummus and pretzels for a snack and salad for dinner is the agenda for todays meals. I weighed in at about 144 this morning and my goal is to lose 1.5 pounds a week. Calorie intake of about 1000 to 1200 with a hour and a half workout. I plan on working out at least 6 times a week resting on Monday's. I figure I can lose the bulk of the weight in my last few weeks here and finish and maintain once I get to Ft. Hood. I am going to get skinny or die trying.

The first step is admitting you have a problem.

Well this week definitely wasn't eventful at all. I wound up stating home from work again on monday due to the state of depression I was in a flunk. But my day did consist of throwing out a few items of clothing. Some old sorority shirts went out the window along with several other things that are either way to big or way old. Which leads to my Fabulous Friday

New clothes... I had to return a dress to H&M due to my hips not lying on how it definitely did not flatter me. Well in return I purchased 2 solid basic tees for Mr. A pair of shorts and 3 shirts for my self. I definitely need to revamp my wardrobe due to the move ad just well it's definitely time to get some clothes that fit.

New found understand that the world isn't as bad as it seems. Live Love laugh Is defiantly the way to live. I rink throwing out a bunch of old things and some punches at therapy has uplifted my spirits about a lot of things.

My desk is finally clearing up even with 2 days away from work There is a light at the end of this tunnel of
paper work. I figure on more weekend work day on Sunday and it should all be gone :).

I hope your week was more exciting than mine and I know this weekend will be something to talk about. Harlem is going to get a little surgery and I have a shopping trip planned in between. Wish us luck ! Happy friday !!

CaTCh Up SuNDay

Well, a lot has been going on the last few days. Last time I wrote Mr. hadn't been able to call due to a Camo Blackout. The reality of War has completely set in. I have taken advantage of the fact that I get a phone call everyday and sometimes it doesn't even feel like he is actually deployed. When He finally got to call my Tuesday morning and I started to cry when I heard his voice. I'm lucky to have the relationship I do with my husband. We are each other best friends so when the other one hasn't checked in there is always that empty feeling.

The bad news I got about Omar's unit over the weekend was just the tip of the Ice Berg for me. My father and his two brothers rushed down to Florida to say goodbye to their brother. My uncle passed away on Friday afternoon after a long week of waiting to see what was going to happen. I'm grateful that my father was able to be by his side and that he is getting the chance to spend with his family even though it is a very unfortunate event.

With everything that has been going on I decided to call out of work on Friday because I was to sick to my stomach to move. By the afternoon I was off to run earns for my cousins ring ceremony. We had to run all over Staten Island in order to decorate 2 parties and then headed back to Brooklyn. Before I knew it was time to head to the island again for the ceremony. I was 15 minutes late but was able to see her get her ring. The reality of not getting to see her actually graduated makes me sad. That this time I have with the girls now is completely precious. I cant believe I only actually have about 10 weekends left till I move. It hasn't completely hit me yet but before I know it will soon .

Saturday was filled with Baby shower earns and blue ribbon. Mr's cousin is having a baby boy this up coming July so the families got together to celebrate this occasion.

After the baby shower I went out to Jersey with my cousin Tina to see our older cousins Cindy. She recently got out of the service with her husband and moved closer to home. It was good to see her after so many years of being apart. It really seemed like we have never been apart. Tina is sad that I'm moving away at the beginning of the Summer but it just gives her an excuse to get out of NY.

TO wrap up the weekend I got into a major fight with my neighbor about my dogs. Apparently they are destroying their yard but have never been in it ever. There is a gate between the two yards and the dogs have no way for crossing into their yard. But do to the fact they bark and pee in my yard they are unable to enjoy their yard. It's the winter I'm leaving in less than 3 months and P.S. its my parents house and yard. The dogs stay in the house primarily the whole day except to stretch their legs and play 2 times a day. Sorry i cant actually tell them where they can and can not pee. I clean up the yard with soap and water every time they mess. I probably cried for about 3 hours after the argument because I don't like living in animosity. I have to see these people everyday of my life and my parents don't deserve to be yelled at because of my pets. My father is putting up a new fence this next weekend so there ins't anymore problems I just hope these people don't continue to yell at me.

SleEp who ?

I'm literally had on no sleep the last few days. All together I think I got 10 hours over this passed weekend. And it's not because I was out late or hanging out. It wasn't because I didn't feel like sleeping because I love to sleep, I just couldn't. This weekend I was helping my older cousin get somethings ready for a party we are decorating on Friday. We were making center pieces and taking about how we wanted to go shopping the following day. I took my time because I know I was not ready to sleep. When I got home it was tome for Mr to wake up. We were able to Skype and I got to see his face. God I miss his face. It was a good convocation all I did was laugh. Before we knew it he was off to work and I laid in bed till it was time for me to wake up.

As planned I went with my cousin shopping and found some cute things for the house. I also bought Mr's cousins baby shower gifts. I love shopping for gifts I have way to much fun and go way over board with them. As I was shopping I spoke to Mr. again and then the Internet went out. I knew it went out because his room mate signed off at the same time. This lead to another night of not sleeping. With his Internet out and my father off to the sun shine state to say god bye to his brother I couldn't sleep. It just wasn't an option.

I spent most of my Sunday afternoon making things for the baby shower and putting together a basket for her. I had promised Mr's little sister I would take her to her volleyball game ( they won!) Afterwards we watched Army wives and Coming Home and then I was off to no sleep land. I occupied my time with text messages and phone call to several wives before I finally laid down around 1 knowing I had to let the dogs put early since my father is away. Even though my eyes were telling me rest My body was telling them no.

I think I stated at my phone more than I actually slept. I don't know-how I'm gunaa make it though the day. Hope work is slow ad I get home at a reasonable time. I pray that he calls today and I get to sleep. I look like death and I feel like passing out on this train.

On a brighter note I reached 3000 views and I'm almost on my 125th post. I think I should do A give away or something to celebrate. hmm what to do??
